We’re very honoured to share that Brave New Beast was named a finalist for Best Storytelling at the Midlands Marketing Awards 2026, for our work on the Alton Towers Scarefest campaign.
The awards celebrate the very best marketing talent across the Midlands, so seeing our name on the shortlist alongside such a strong field was a real highlight of our year. The whole team headed along to the ceremony and had a brilliant evening, surrounded by agencies, brands and creatives doing genuinely exciting work in our region. It was a night of great conversations & plenty of applause.
Storytelling sits at the heart of everything we do. Whether we’re shooting a brand film, a social campaign or a fast-turnaround piece, our aim is always the same: find the story that makes people feel something, then tell it in a way that sticks. Scarefest gave us the perfect playground for that. Working with the Alton Towers team, we set out to capture the thrills, the atmosphere and spooky frights that make Scarefest such a stand out fixture of the Halloween calendar, and to bring that energy to audiences long before they set foot in the park.
Being recognised in the Best Storytelling category means a lot to us. It’s a nod to the creativity, craft and hard work that went into the campaign, both behind the camera and in the edit suite.
A huge thank you to Alton Towers for trusting us with such a fun brief, to the Midlands Marketing Awards organisers for a fantastic night, and congratulations to every winner and finalist. The standard was sky high!
We’re already looking forward to next year!
