Campaign Video for LEGOLAND® Windsor 30th Birthday

We created this campaign video for Legoland Windsor as the attraction celebrated it’s milestone 30th birthday in 2026.

The concept was to play into the nostalgia of when when the park first opened, aimed at milennial parents who would have visited the park as a child of the 90’s. We wanted to show the parallel of having cherished childhood memories and the joy of seeing your own children experience the same excitement and thrill that only a day out at Legoland can bring.

Brave New Beast storyboarded the concept from the marketing team and then handled all aspects of production, including on-ride filming on The Dragon rollercoaster, post production editing and sound design.

To make sure the video instantly felt like a blast from the past, the creative direction leaned into a retro film style and used props like the disposable camera to give a sense of the era and a hit of nostalgia.
The golden hour lighting and editing style on the 90’s opening also makes it subtly feel dream-like to hint at it being a memory.

We needed a clever transition to make sure it lands that the Boy in the 90’s is the Dad in the present day.  Several ideas were explored before we landed on using the glasses push and a match cut to snap us out of the memory and back in to the present moment, where his daughter is just as excited as he was to go and ride The Dragon for the first time.
